Founded by local artists and activists in 2004, Patois is a festival with a mission to create accessible spaces at the intersection of art and social justice, and provide a forum for artistic expression of these themes.
Running from March 25-29, #Patois2020 will showcase 10 feature-length and 5 short documentary and narrative films from a plethora of backgrounds: Africa, indigenous people of the Americas, the Caribbean and Latin America, the Arab & Muslim world and their diasporas, etc.
Film screenings will be held at The Broad Theater (636 N Broad St) with side events at Neighborhood Story Project. Tickets are $10, or a donation; no one will be turned away for lack of funds. The full lineup will be announced and tickets will go on sale on March 9th at patoisfilmfest.org
