This year, Art Against AIDS takes place on World AIDS Day, December 1, 2018. In addition to the food, drinks and entertainment, this year’s event will highlight how far we have come (and how far we still have to go) in the fight against HIV/ AIDS. This is an opportunity for the New Orleans Community to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness. The event will honor artist, David Lumpkin, and will include two of the New Orleans panels of the AIDS Quilt as well as an interactive memory wall and remarks from government officials. Guest of honor for the event is ABC reporter, Karl Schmid.
