This month we’ll be talking about our challenges – the things that we’re struggling with – but also our celebrations – the things we’ve been successful with. PJ’s coffee and pastries will be provided. As always, we will meet in Room #250 of the New Orleans Healing Center (2372 St. Claude Ave.). There is a parking lot behind the building.
About the Moderator: Dr. Catherine Roland received her Ed.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Cincinnati, and has been a private practitioner for over 30 years, with adults in transition, older adults, couples and families and diverse populations. Dr. Roland has been Department Chair and Director of various Ph.D. programs across the country. She is a past President of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the 57,000 member organization for counselors and Counselor Educators in the US and internationally. She has held many leadership positions, including President of the Association for Adult Development and Aging (AADA); ACA Governing Council Representative for three terms; and Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling (ALGBTIC) Inaugural Conference Chair (2014). Dr. Roland is a former Editor of ADULTSPAN Journal, the national peer-reviewed journal of the Association for Adult Development and Aging, published by ACA, and has served on multiple other national journal review boards. She has a private practice in Metairie, LA.
